With a new year upon us, means changes are on the way for the CC2G team. With much gratitude, we want to say a fond farewell to one of our most beloved CC2G designers, Danni Ried. Danni's whimsical designs will surely be missed. While saying goodbye is always bitter sweet, we also are looking forward to saying hello to our new designers for 2014.
As with any design team call, we had quite a bit of entries to review and can we just say that there are so many talented people out there. It was so difficult to choose. Thank you all so much for applying!

It's so good to be back with Cupcards {to go}! I've been married to my best friend for 29 years and we are the parents of 3 adult children. My sweetie and I have two sweet little Morkie puppies and are hoping to have grandchildren sooner rather than later! We live in the beautiful state of Montana about an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park and we love to hike and explore the beautiful area that we live in. I love to scrapbook, make cards, read, take pictures and cook with my hubby!

Welcome Michelle and Cherry!!!!
Today I thought I'd post a couple tutorials from our designers. Did you know there are several cards in the gallery with step-by-step instructions....INCLUDING pictures so you can easily create the cards on your own? Grab your kit and follow these easy directions...you'll have several cards made in just a few minutes. Enjoy!
Card by Hilary:
Step 1. Card measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2. Gather your supplies. Set aside a white pre-scored folded card to use later. Cut a piece of cardstock to 4 x 5 1/4, (this will be the piece you will use to adhere everything to). Cut strips of patterned paper, glitter a chipboard frame, (from my own collection), and adhere papers, trim and pearls to the chipboard shape included in your kit.
Step 2. Adhere papers as shown.
Step 3. Stitch around the card, then adhere the scalloped border to the bottom edge of the card.
Step 4. Adhere scalloped frame to the center of the card. Adhere the chipboard shape to the center of the frame using pop-dots. Stamp the word, "smile" onto a tiny kraft tag, tie it with twine and adhere it to the scalloped frame. Finally, adhere two buttons to the top left of the card and a rub-on sentiment to the bottom. Now your ready to adhere the card front to the pre-scored card you set aside in step one (I used pop-dots to secure my card front, it adds a lot of dimension).
Card by Michele:
Step 1 - Cut eight - 1 inch strips of patterned paper. Weave together as shown. Carefully adhere together and cut off excess strips.
Step 2 - adhere to cardbase and zig-zag stitch the seams. leave a little thread for "home" type feel. Round corners as desired. Ink edges of cardbase. Set aside.
Step 3 - Cut off the word on the Jenni Bowlin bingo card. Adhere dotted paper to bottom of card. Use any border punch to give some dimension. Adhere cotton trim along the seam.
Step 4 - Adhere embellished bingo card, layered flower and buttons on top of woven papers. Stamp, print or write a sentiment inside the card.

Hi everyone! Most of you should have your kits in your hot little hands by now. If not, any day! Today I thought I would post some fun ideas using the LawnFawn Fly Free stamp set included in the kit. You may be wondering what to do with them. Well, our design team never fails and always has some great ideas for you!
The set is acrylic so all you have to do is carefully peel the stamp from the backing and place it on an acrylic block. Now you're ready for ink!!
Here are some ideas. Have fun STAMPING!!
*Stamp the bird with white ink on dark paper.
*Stamp the sentiment on a tiny tag and tie it to an element on your card.
I'm so happy to have Danni Reid as our guest designer this month! Wow, does this girl have a ton of talent coming outta every part of her being!!! You can learn more about Danni and see more of her work over on her blog. Be prepared to stay there a while tho. tee hee.

You all received an adorable stamp & amazing laser die-cut tag in your {main} kit. My challenge to you is to use both items differently than at-first glance. Think outside the box if-you-will with both of them.
For example, the ADORABLE tree stamp will make the cutest little tree and you will use it over & over for that, but did you see the bouquet of flowers, bubbles for a fish or bouquet of balloons when you looked at it? Then, instead of your stamp having a 1-image purpose, you can use it for a "celebration" card of any kind; get well, birthdays, anniversaries, kids birthdays, you name it.
With the die-cut, I, personally, saw a flower vase & a crown for Baylee on her card. Instead of 1 card with that amazing die-cut, I was able to appreciate it on 2 and it was really fun.
