Guest Designer Kristen Swain

1. Tell us a little about yourself. I'm Kristen Swain, I've been scrapbooking for over 17 years now. I have always been crafty and loved the idea of incorporating crafting into paper crafts. I worked on and off for the last 16 years for various companies and was published hundreds of times.  About a year ago I decided that I needed to work for myself, so I created a website with my friend and partner Tammy. Now I create crafts of all sorts, including recipes and have such a wonderful time doing it.

2. Where do you find your inspiration? I find inspiration in colors, in patterns and sometimes in print ads. 

3. What is your favorite dessert? My favorite dessert is cake, I love that it can be made in a lot of varieties but, be so good!

4. If  you could do anything without consequences, what would it be? That's a big one! Whoa! I guess it would be something along the lines of end world hunger, get rid of the despots who take donations from wealthier countries and keep it for themselves, instead of passing those supplies on to the needy. 

5. Three words that best describe your personality. Sarcastic, loyal and introvert

Fall 2014 Kit

Fall is coming and I simply can.not.wait! I love the crisp air in the mornings and the warm sunshine in the afternoons. Our kit this month is Abundance....overflowing with fullness!! How many of you have received a kit and once you opened it thought, "Wow!! This kit is so packed!"?? I'm sure all of you have and that's just what this kit is!! Please take a moment to look in the Fall Designer Gallery for an abundance of inspiration. Also, the designers took the sketch and everyone made a completely different card. (Funny how that works out huh?)

I've received a lot of inquiries about our new shipping method. Due to rising costs of shipping first class, we decided to try shipping our kits in a padded envelope to keep our rates at the $4 price. I'm confident that the kits arrive to you in great condition! If you would prefer your kit shipped in a box (at $4.50), please let me know by including a note when you purchase your kit.

One more thing....mark your calendars for Saturday, October 4th! It's WORLD CARD MAKING DAY and the entire CC2G design team will be having a day of fun, challenges and prizes! Plus, we will have a great sale on some new items, new mini kits and previous kits. Stayed tuned for more info.

Fall Kit - Sneak Peek #5

Welcome to the last day of peeks before the big reveal on Monday! I am so excited to share not 1, not 2 but 3 peeks with you all today. I just couldn't resist! 

Here are two from our wonderful DT Member Heather. I love the paper flowers on her card and eyelets...yes, I never get tired of them. I love using them on tags. 

And since this is our Fall kit...we couldn't do a post without a Halloween sneak, right? Here is the amazing DT member Tiffany. 

This totally gets me so excited for pumpkins, orange lights and hot lattes. Bring on Fall, please!

Fall Kit - Sneak Peek #4

I am so excited to share our next peek of the upcoming Fall kit but first a quick story:)

Tuesday night, Sonda texted me and said she received designs from someone who blew it out of the water and all I wanted to say was "Show Me The Cards!" Lo and behold, this same someone emailed me a snippet of one of her designs.

Fall Kit - Sneak Peek #3

Hey CC2G Friends - Michele here wishing you all a Happy Wednesday! 

This week just seems to be flying by, right?! Sonda's been a busy little bee not only putting together this amazing fall kit but also working two jobs. She's a go getter...that Sonda of ours.

I'm up next with a quick peek of a card that is surely becoming one of my favorites. I'm a huge fan of dimensions and use it everytime I get a chance.

Welcome September! The weather forecast is calling for high 90's the next few weeks but we're going to celebrate all things fall starting today!

The reds, oranges, cream just gets me all giddy for fall! I love how Michelle created the layered ribbon. Looking forward to seeing the full reveal.
